Kolperi
Film school, but make it outback
Kolperi takes students out of the classroom and into the wilds of Winton, where they learn the craft by doing. We worked with Griffith University to shape the website for the program. Grounded, cinematic, and built to inspire.

The Challenge
Kolperi needed a website that could carry the weight of their story. Fast.
This wasn't just Griffith University. Four partner organizations: Griffith Film School, Vision Splendid Film Festival, Winton Shire Council, and Guwa-Koa Cultural Advisors. Multiple stakeholders, multiple programs, one unified digital presence. The course is immersive and cinematic, set against the Australian outback. The site needed to reflect that energy without drowning in production time or getting lost in complexity.
Timeline was tight. The site had to be visually bold, structurally sound, and ready to launch quickly. It needed to showcase films, promote programs, and handle content updates without developer intervention.

The Solution
We built it in Webflow. Fast turnaround, full design control, and a CMS the Kolperi team could manage themselves.
Vertical typography evokes film credits rolling over outback landscapes. Video backgrounds bring the cinematic atmosphere to life without sacrificing load times. The CMS handles programs, films, and alumni content. Updates happen without touching code.
The site launched on schedule. Visually bold, structurally solid, and flexible enough to grow with the program. Multiple stakeholders, one unified platform, zero developer dependency for day-to-day updates.

How It Works
Webflow gave us speed. The design system gave us consistency. The CMS gave Kolperi independence.
Speed Without Compromise
Tight timeline meant choosing the right tool. Webflow delivered fast iteration without sacrificing design control. We could build cinematic layouts, test with stakeholders, and refine quickly. Video backgrounds, parallax scrolling, and custom interactions all came together in weeks, not months.
The CMS makes content updates instant. New films, program details, alumni stories. All manageable without developer intervention.
Designing for Film
Vertical typography runs down the page like opening credits. Native Australian imagery anchors the site in place. The emu icon nods to the outback setting. Color palette pulls from red earth and wide skies.
Video backgrounds set the tone immediately. You land on the homepage and you're there. Outback filmmaking, cinematic immersion. Not told, shown.
Content for Four Audiences
Griffith Film School students need program details. Vision Splendid Film Festival audiences want to see completed work. Winton Shire Council showcases regional impact. Guwa-Koa Cultural Advisors ensure authentic storytelling.
One platform serving multiple stakeholders. The CMS structure reflects that. Programs, films, and alumni each get dedicated collections. Content updates flow through without touching layouts. Mailing list captures interest. Contact form handles inquiries.
