Meet Sasha Hickson

Hi! I'm Sasha - a caffeine-fueled graphic designer with 6 years of experience in the industry. Passionate about people, letters, and engaging design.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Design from the Queensland College of Art with a major in Visual Communication, I've designed and consulted on numerous freelance projects, worked as an in-house and agency designer, and lead marketing for an ecommerce start-up.

Over the years I've had the opportunity to work with some incredible people and clients across government, health, food, professional services and events. Some you may have heard of are Ipswich City Council, Ipswich Festivals, Ipswich Art Gallery, Dovetails Restaurant, and Walker Pender Group.

In my spare (albeit small) time, I enjoy developing fonts and digital assets for the design community on sites like Creative Market.

Before co-founding Halftone, I had a calling back to QCA to share my grey matter, typeface obsession, and slowly instill my love of InDesign to current design students (in other words; taught typography, layout and typesetting).
